This opening is for a Data Validation Lead for the NASA Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (Orion MPCV) Program supporting the Orion Software Integrated Product Team (IPT).
Duties includes, direct the software data validation effort, guide and coordinate the approach for each software area, coordinate with SEIT and with other IPTs to ensure adherence to overall program data validation plan, work with the Flight Software (FSW) CPEs to refine estimations for their data validation effort and track data validation progress, maintaining the software data validation plan, and briefing management and NASA on current plans and status. In addition, manage data validation risk and associated cost threats.
Typically has 9 - 15 years of professional experience.

Must have a Bachelors degree or higher degree from an accredited college in Engineering or Computer Science or a related discipline.
Must be capable of planning, prioritizing, executing, and statusing self-directed software validation activities
Experience with complex data driven software systems.
Experience with developing verification and validation test plans.
Risk and opportunity management experience.
Customer interface experience.
Must have demonstrated ability to perform as a member of dynamic teams in a geographically and organizationally distributed multi-company environment.
Must have communication skills including the ability to speak, write and listen in a manner that clarifies issues, promotes closure, and delivers information in a clear and concise manner and facilitates decision making.
Experience with Orion/MPCV system and NASA customers would be of significant value.
Experience with safety critical Human spaceflight systems.
Experience with software project management and cost estimating.
Experience as a Certified Principal Engineer (CPE).
Familiarity with Orion data systems, spacecraft GN&C, mission event sequencing, fault management, command and telemetry processing a plus.
Hardware/Software integration and/or systems engineering experience.
Familiarity with tools and languages such as Linux, Python and C++.
