Position Summary

As a District Engineer, you will use your technical knowledge and leadership skills to manage the Engineering staff of the fracturing fleets assigned to your district. Most of your time will be spent at the district yard reviewing Engineers' reports, invoices, chemical usage, and offering technical help and recommendations to the personnel in the field. You will also work closely with the District Operations Manager to help fracturing fleets efficiently and effectively prepare for and complete stimulation jobs. This involves customer contact and coordination with the customer's wellsite representatives, completions engineers, and C&J's sales team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage Engineers in assigned district, approve timesheets, expenses, and assign laptops, phones, company cards and company vehicles.
  • Review tickets, post job reports, and chemical inventory from each fracturing fleet within assigned distract.
  • Assist in pre/post stimulation job requests from customers.
  • Review Engineers’ performance in the field along with the fleets overall performance with monthly visits to well-sites.
  • Delegate special projects to Engineers within assigned district.
  • Hire new Engineers for assigned district and over see their on boarding process.
  • Assist the District Operations Manager with daily tasks such as inventory, costs, logistics, and forecasting.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A firm understanding of hydraulics, mechanical power, and chemistry.
  • Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office applications, Excel, MS Word, etc...
  • Ability to effectively run and troubleshoot Fracpro.
  • Basic understanding of Fracpro models and pressure matching
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Multitasking, interpersonal communication and attention to detail are all required skills.
  • Assist the District Operations Manager with daily tasks such as inventory, costs, logistics, and forecasting.

Required Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-4 years
  • Valid Driver's License


Required Travel:  10% - 25%
