You are invited to join Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS), a world leader in state-of-the-art focal plane and camera products. At RVS, you will join a team of engineers and scientists who are creating the industry’s most advanced visible, infrared, multispectral, hyperspectral, and LADAR sensors and camera solutions. Our cutting edge products are used in a wide range of air, ground, and space applications, in both the commercial and defense markets.
As an Engineering Fellow you will play a major role in the development of camera systems architecture, as well as developing systems roadmaps and design flows that sustain and enhance Raytheon Vision System’s leadership position in the visible and infrared camera business. This position will demonstrate leadership and visionary thinking in the design and development of advanced Systems engineering processes for visible and infrared imaging. Will work with internal and external customers to define new product strategy for tactical electro-optical products, guide staff on technical direction for program execution and provide expertise in system-subsystem interface for electro-optical products.

This position will have a high degree of autonomy and will be expected to develop new programs/products with system level customer base, generating business at the organizational and inter-organizational level. The Engineering Fellow will also conduct briefings and participate in internal and external technical meetings as a Subject Matter Expert in support of Raytheon’s E-O business.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 12+ years professional engineering experience in Electro Optical technology to include excellent working knowledge of Sensor systems and analysis of E-O signal chains.
  • Experience successfully executing quick turn developments for commercial, defense, and/or space industries.
  • Leadership and multidiscipline experience in system architecture, digital design, analog design, analysis, and test.
  • Experience providing management oversight to Engineering design efforts including managing budgets, resource and schedule planning.
  • Experienced presenter with a track record of providing influence across the organization.
  • Experience in Digital Image Processing and very high throughput processor systems.
  • Experience with systems engineering, systems integration, semiconductor processing, simulation, reliability and testing
  • Experience with Infrared Systems Engineering and component analysis
  • Knowledge of Electro-Optical performance analysis.
  • Experience with process and procedure, from Concept (architecture), design build, test and production.
  • Patents, Publications, and/or Technical Presentations to industry.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of High speed digital interface design.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience with high speed video signal processing systems.
  • Knowledge of Optics.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Earned Value Management Systems.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance

Required Education (including Major): Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science or related technical discipline; MSEE or PhD preferred
