Assist the Logistics site manager with daily tasks and assigning of priorities. Lead cross functional Consolidated Logistics Team, with responsibilities including: receipt, delivery, and central stores/warehousing of program, government, and/or company required material. Provide all pack/ship support for the Goleta corridor, including packaging, routing, Dangerous Goods Declarations (where applicable), and Export/Import support. Interface with third party logistics providers to ensure proper hand off and execution of material and third party support functions. Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of standard processes. Interface with Production Control and programs to resolve issues and coordinate contingency work tasks. Monitor the workflow in Logistics to ensure task completion and prevent gaps in service level commitments. Assist in the monitoring and tracking of key performance indicators/metrics, including, but not limited to, cycle time, quality, and schedule. Promote safety and support all company initiatives and goals.

Required Skills:
  • 4 years related experience
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment; managing multiple priorities.
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Microsoft Office experience with Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent business system
  • Ability to obtain DOD Secret Security Clearance
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience interfacing with Logistics 3PL providers
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Skills: Self-Starter with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Team player who will be willing to take on new assignments as required. Some knowledge of military and commercial packaging requirements is desired.
  • Logistics, shipping, contracts or related experience.
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, process oriented, customer service environment.
  • Certification in or experience concerning DOT 49CFR and IATA Hazardous Shipment regulations.
