Job Description: This position is for the Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) business. The Advanced Signaling Engineering Fellow has the responsibility of ensuring the technical integrity and successful execution of all Space pursuits, IRADs, and programs in regard to the signaling domain. The Advanced Signaling Engineering Fellow will manage the technical, schedule, and cost performance of all signaling engineering activities in the business and will provide engineering input to all decisions impacting product integrity and mission assurance while ensuring the product meets all technical specifications, operational requirements and customer expectations.
The Signaling Engineering Fellow will provide technical leadership of peer groups and technical mentoring to program engineers while working closely with the Space Electronics Product Line Director as the interface between program management and engineering to ensure a high level of team performance and cohesiveness. The Signaling SME will advance the current state of electronics to stay relevant for future products and programs.
Minimum of 14 years of engineering experience
Experience in EMI/EMC and advanced signal integrity techniques.
Expert knowledge of materials, connectors, software and modeling techniques
Experience in creating a “correct by construction” philosophy for ALL signaling aspects, whether they be related to signal integrity, power integrity, or EMI/EMC.
Experience as a Chief Engineer on a large program, or another role providing technical leadership to a large engineering team
Experience providing technical leadership throughout the entire product life cycle
Experience with the technical review and approval of all proposals and Gates to ensure technical and execution feasibility
Experience with identifying critical electronic bottlenecks and solving them with both analytical and breadboard solutions to allow first pass success on flight builds
Experience with developing and presenting technical briefings to the customer and company Management
Ability to effectively lead teams of technical experts to resolve challenging technical problems
Experience identifying and providing justification for IRAD to get over technology bottlenecks (staleness) and advance the packaging of the electronics for SAS
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain DoD security clearance and Special Access – SAP/SAR
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
Proposal management, from initial pursuit and capture planning to proposal delivery
Experience in technology strategy planning
Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) or line engineering management experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related discipline required
Preferred Master’s degree in EMI/EMC or related degree; body of work experience related to space electronic design with emphasis on complex signaling
