Position Summary:

Raytheon Missile Systems provides many different high-technology weapon systems solutions to our defense customers. The Systems Test Directorate at RMS is seeking candidates for the Integration & Verification Center to perform in the role of test engineer Systems Engineer II for multiple programs related to our Navy shipboard defense systems (e.g., Phalanx®, SeaRAMTM) and/or Army counter rocket, artillery or mortar (C-RAM) gun systems. Our I&V engineers integrate the hardware and software elements of our developmental products and then test them to ensure they meet requirements and provide capabilities which are critical to the success of the warfighters in our military and those of our allies. The candidates will support test planning, test procedure development, hardware/software integration, and developmental testing tasks both in a lab and a field environment. Additional responsibilities include:

•Able to engage and influence test objectives collaboratively with HIL, TSSC and Systems on the respective programs.

•Support Consent to Ship, Test Readiness Reviews, and hardware/software integration efforts as required by the program

•Able to contribute to the build, integration and test activities associated with an End Item build

•Accountable for pedigree control and ensuring completeness of all documentation.

Required Experience & Skills:

•Two (2) years of professional technical/engineering experience in a test environment with emphasis in test planning and/or execution is preferred

•Must be eligible for, or have active, DoD SECRET security clearance. Must have INTERIM SECRET clearance before start date.

•Workload management skills to utilize resources effectively to satisfy requirements and implementation schedules

•Demonstrated basic electronic, computer and/or mechanical skills

Desired Experience & Skills:

·•Four (4) years of professional technical/engineering experience in a test environment with emphasis in test planning and/or execution is preferred

  • Flexibility to use multiple engineering disciplines to innovate solutions to integration challenges.

·•"Customer oriented” and driven to meet or exceed expectations

·•Understanding and working knowledge of Change Control Board Process and Failure Review (FRACAS) Process

  • Experience with disciplined processes for test, such as Consent to Ship or Test Readiness Reviews.

·•Create integration and verification strategies to support efficiency improvements

·•Excellent communication (oral and written) skills

·Experience with integrating and fault isolating analog electronic, digital electronic, RF, and closed loop servo systems

Required Education:
BS in Engineering or Related field ( Majors: Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Software, Physics, Math or Systems).
