Job Description:

The Missile Defense and Sensor Systems Department is seeking an engineering line manager for an engineering team that designs and develops world-class missile defense radars and command/control systems in our Woburn and Tewksbury, MA, locations. The successful candidate will perform day-to-day management of a group of multi-disciplinary system engineers, with the primary responsibility of ensuring that each employee has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement. Management duties include performance development and appraisal, salary planning, manpower planning, career coaching, and ensuring adherence to company policies.Candidates will contribute to the technical oversight of employees, monitor program execution, and provide radar system subject matter expertise in direct support of program efforts and proposal activities.



Required Skills:


  • Minimum of 11(+) years of progressive technical experience related to system engineering architecture, design and development activities
  • Ability and strong desire to facilitate career growth and knowledge transfer
  • Experience in empowering employees, leading and motivating teams, and fostering collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and decision making skills
  • Active Secret Level DoD Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience in a functional or leadership role
  • Proven track record of effectively interacting with subordinates, customers, and other Raytheon organizations and disciplines
  • Master of Science degree in an Engineering discipline
