The Program Analyst a microenterprise development program at a government agency in Washington, DC. The program promotes economic self-sufficiency by providing assistance with development, expansion, or maintenance of a beneficiary-owned micro-business.

 

Duties include:

 

  • Draft and Publish Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA)
  • Provide Technical Assistance and Conduct Outreach
  • Provide guidance to grantees regarding strategies for improving project performance and/or overcoming identified obstacles
  • Conduct Grant Processing and management activities
  • Conduct Reporting and analysis: Analyze grantees' program and financial reports and data relative to program objectives;
  • Enter relevant data (reports, actions, communications) into grants management system
  • Prepare reports and recommendations and present them to senior leadership
  • Monitor program performance and assist in the design/modification of monitoring protocols
  • Oversee and manage site visits with agencies, associations, and other government funded entities
  • Provide support on a range of analytical tasks to support decision making
  • Analyze user needs and perform research and analysis on a variety of projects
  • Develop presentations and present them at various formal and informal settings

Qualifications:

8-10 years of related experience.

  • Direct working knowledge of the key players in US microenterprise field
  • Knowledge and experience of working with a community-based organization preferred
  • Must be collaborative, flexible team player with the ability to think creatively to solve problems
  • Experience in project/program monitoring
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • The ability to travel domestically six to eight times per year is required
  • Computer proficiency

Education:
