This position will play a key role in the Supplier Quality Assurance and Procurement organizations by increasing assurances that key suppliers to SAIC meet and maintain suitable quality management systems. Specifically, the individual in this position will be responsible for maintaining and improving existing processes, as well as assisting in the design and development of new processes, in the areas of Supplier Requirements Identification, Supplier Qualification, Supplier Quality Performance, and Supplier Oversight.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Identify, communicate and support the successful fulfilment of customer contractual requirements related to quality from supplier delivered products and services.
Work continually with critical suppliers to improve performance, for example, by implementing process control methodologies through robust and comprehensive quality plans.
Analyze supplier capabilities and execute supplier oversight activities, which may include site assessments, surveillance activities, witness and hold points, Quality Systems audits, and supplier corrective action reconciliation.
Identify and document supplier's quality system deficiencies and ensure effective corrective and preventative actions. Work with the supplier to implement risk mitigation toolkits with suppliers such as FMEA and Control Plans when necessary.
Evaluate contract RFPs and proposals for key supplier- related quality conditions. Then communicate findings to key stakeholders so the appropriate requirements are flowed down to the supplier contract.
Execute internal control processes such as, but not limited to, requirements flow down, certified material test report reviews, procedure reviews, and quality inspection plans.
Effectively communicate and interface with all key stakeholders, to include suppliers, program management, engineering, quality management, procurement and government representatives. Develop and monitor the integrity of supplier quality metrics.
Support capture and program teams to define project artifacts (e. g. deliverables, project plans) related to supplier quality assurance.
Support the segmentation of suppliers to identify critical providers by facilitating data collection amongst relevant stakeholders.
Maintain centralized data repository to promote the benefits of an enterprise-level quality capability.

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
Must be a US citizen, and obtain a Government Security Clearance.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering, Technical or related field or Equivalent experience. Related experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Working knowledge of Lean, Six-Sigma and other problem solving tools.
Capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems.
Lean Six Sigma training and or certification preferred.
Exhibit to be a self-starter, work independently, and drive actions to completion. Experience auditing supplier quality management systems for a diverse variety of components.
Experience working in a DOD environment.
Working knowledge of and/or education, skills, and experience associated with manufacturing processes, engineering drawings requirements automotive, machining, weldments, mechanical assemblies, composites, electrical cabling and electrical component inspection methods.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Must be able to multi- task, meet deadlines and to support all supplier quality field engineering activities.
Strong communication skills (both oral and written) will be necessary to support the assignment.
