Job Description


• SAIC seeks a Data Analyst to support the government in designing and implementing the Air Force’s future Multi Domain Command and Control (MDC2) network and data virtualization capability.


• The individual is responsible for supporting the delivery of Data Architecture for a large DoD program that could include: Enterprise Engineering services in developing executing data architectures for command and control applications (multiple data feeds, sophisticated processing); Responsible for delivering support services that supply specific engineered solutions and pertinent planning documentation on all aspects of the customer’s Data Architecture; Working with multi domain data infrastructure; and developing logical cross-sections of databases for cross-domain interaction.


• This includes data architectural design support and deployment, engineering design, proof of concept (POC) development, pilots, analysis, results, and documentation. Support the design and management of all aspects of the testing and development of technology.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


Data Analyst will play an integral role in the success of the Government program, specifically she/he will:


• Work with the MDC2 CO team, data providers, and MDC2 ShadowNet Node personnel to identify and acquire data for MDC2 experimentation.


• Support development of the MDC2 Enterprise Data Architecture and management of data assets at MDC2 Nodes


• Break down large/complex problems and be involved and/or lead the process of design, implementation, and rollout of automation projects and solutions for databases


• Maintain and extend coverage along with creating appropriate tools, utilities, and automation scripts that assist in functional testing and to create test data


• Effectively collaborate and communicate with others in the program staff


• Experience with DevOps, especially Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)


• Demonstrated ability for oral and written communication with the highest levels of management.


• Successful management, supervision of employees of various labor categories with large technical programs


• Working knowledge, experience administering, and managing multiple, concurrent IT programs, projects and tasks.


• Ability to organize data teams in a collaborative environment that support proactive identification and delivery of data solutions that address the current and ‘to be’ state.


 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS


CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:


• Candidate must have a current Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI. Prefer a TS clearance and SSBI (SCI capable)


Required Skills \ Education \ Certification


• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in computer science


• Experience with data architecture programs and/or projects, including mission critical programs, data system design and development


• Demonstrable experience providing engineered data solutions on large Federal government programs in support of the customer’s mission


• Knowledge of ITILv3 Foundation


• Work experience as a data analyst or in related field.


• Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.


• High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large scale databases.


• Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.

 
• Understanding of addressing and metadata standards.


• High-level written and verbal communication skills


Desired Skills \ Education \ Certification


• Knowledge and expertise in NW and virtualization technology (such as AWS, VMware, etc.)


• Knowledge of hybrid cloud enterprise capabilities


• Experience with security, especially knowledge of the RMF process


• Experience with DevOps, especially Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)


• Experience with Pivotal PCF
