Job Description:
Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) has high visibility opportunity for a Program Operations Manager (POM) for Patriot Radar, Spares, and Repair & Return Production effort in our Andover facility. This pivotal role will report directly to the Director of Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) Operations. The IAMD Radar Operations POM will collaborate with the Execution Operations and Core Execution Team to ensure that all program needs are integrated and supported to meet program cost, schedule, and quality commitments. Results will be accomplished through leading and influencing senior level individual contributors and middle management, leading briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives, and being accountable for the multiple areas associated with IAMD Radar Operations.

This position is responsible for:

  • Assist in strategic Program/Operations planning for current production performance and future contract pursuits
  • Communicate through CET to multiple programs to identify, assess, collaborate, and resolve issues impacting contractual deliveries and program requirements.
  • Define clear operational schedules, priorities, and goals for each Operations Value Stream.
  • Lead, collaborate, and influence the Operations and functional managers to support the process focused production driving quality and performance for hardware deliveries.
  • Support proposal development and approval to insure alignment of proposed costs and challenges with the Operations Team.
  • Lead the Estimate at Complete (EAC) and budget process/inputs for IAMD Radar Operations
  • Establish and manage Manufacturing Labor Sales for IAMD Radar Operations

This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending a significant amount of time on the production floor. The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in technical, program, and operations leadership roles.

This position requires an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 12 years’ leadership experience in a manufacturing environment such as defense and/or aerospace industries.
  • Experience with proposals and relevant aspects
  • Experience with financial aspects of operations management
  • Must be capable of working beyond the typical 40 hour work week, occasional domestic and international travel, and travel between other Raytheon locations and suppliers
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Ability to acquire Secret US Security Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Understanding of the Raytheon Andover Manufacturing Tool Sets and how they integrate for delivery of product through DD250.
  • MBOM, Configuration Control
  • EAC and budget development, maintenance, and assessment
  • Estimating/Basis of Estimates (BOE)
  • Inventory Reduction Strategies
  • Working knowledge of PRISM
  • EVMS Level 2 Certification
  • Make/Buy process
  • Prefer degree or experience in Engineering/Manufacturing, and/or an MBA
