Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. IT, Procurement or Project Management experience preferred.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Asset Management Specialist. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
· Leads the Software Asset Management team in the development of processes and systems that will ensure accurate tracking of systems and applications throughout the environment
· Leads a diverse team across multiple locations, providing leadership and oversight for all related activities
· Enters and maintains all required data in the Flexera Flexnet Manager Suite in a timely and accurate fashion
· Administers and/or provides support for Asset Management Tools
· Tracks and analyzes data to assist in monitoring the costs associated with software usage, purchases/true- up (reconciliation with licensing agreement) requirements and maintenance
· Identifies unlicensed software on assets and communicates risk exposure to management in accordance with existing license agreements
· Functions as a first point of contact regarding inquiries related to licensure agreements, terms of contracts, maintenance/service schedules/cost, and all other information related to IT asset management
· Creates and runs queries/analyses for data requests from supervisors and business units
· Identifies savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services
· Respond to inquiries made by users and Incidents from the IT Service Desk regarding IT Asset Management
· Generates chargeback reports and IDI data for Finance to ensure proper financial allocation of asset costs
· Supports audits on asset inventory and usage to demonstrate compliance and assist in the recommendation of how to license, reconcile, redistribute licensing agreements
· Submits purchase requisitions for software maintenance, support and renewals to meet the business needs
· Maintains vendor license data and downloads the required software products and updates from vendor sites to supply to IT Department for installations
· Develops and supports the creation and maintenance of the IT asset management process
· Complies with all applicable business processes
· Conducts and/or performs periodic cycle inventory to in preparation of producing ad-hoc model and analysis for business and finance
· Supports field research requests from Subject Matter Experts to determine product forecasting
· Makes recommendations for process and procedural improvement of the tracking of configuration items
· Assists in developing training documentation and presentations for asset management
· Performs training to ensure compliance of asset management policy and procedures
· Generates asset reports and makes recommendation based of the reports for license changes and inventory levels and make adjustment in purchase orders requirements
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Fully proficient in FlexNet Manager Suite 2018
· Working knowledge of Flexera App Portal
· Ability to work and succeed in a fast-paced environment
· Fully proficient analytical and problem solving skills
· Fully proficient attention to detail
· Fully proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Asset Management tools, Enterprise
· Interface w/IT, Supply Chain Management, Employees, Managers and Supervisors, Counterparts at other GD Business Units, etc

CSAM: Certified Software Asset Manager
CITAM: Certified IT Asset Manager
ITAM Foundations Course with CAMP Certification
CHAMP: Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional
CITAD: Certification in IT Asset Disposition
CMAM: Certified Mobile Asset Manager
