This position will support the SAS VP of Engineering on all daily business administrative and coordination responsibilities, including preparation of presentations and reports, arranging meetings and conferences, tracking expenses and arranging travel, management of calendar, interfacing with other Raytheon businesses, external customers and suppliers, and performing special projects as required. The position requires that the candidate possess initiative, the ability to exercise independent judgment in a high-energy, dynamic environment while anticipating problem areas and providing solutions. The successful candidate must be a self-starter, with high attention to detail, successfully demonstrating the ability to execute tasks with limited supervision. The successful candidate must have the ability to understand the workflow of the business area and add value by being able to prioritize meeting requests and respond to phone calls on behalf of the VP.
Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the preparation of customer level and internal management reports and presentations
  • Attend calls and meetings; capture actions and maintain action list to ensure follow up
  • Coordinate materials prior to meetings and ensure pre-briefs are set up prior to, when appropriate
  • Proactively identify ways to enable greater productivity and efficiency in role
  • Proficiency with the use of personal computers and IT automation methods
  • Input data into various company systems and applications
  • Generate charts, tables, memoranda, reports, correspondence and other materials with speed and accuracy
  • Interface with senior level external and internal customers
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare expense reports
  • Calendar Management, meeting schedule and coordination with internal and external customers
  • Establish follow- up system ensure deadlines are met
  • Coordinate monthly and weekly highlight reports
  • Assist in directing work, assigning and outlining tasks
  • Establish detailed knowledge of the Engineering, SAS, and Raytheon Leadership Team members, center locations, and assigned positions and develop and maintain excellent working relationships and communication channels with other executive assistants

Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+years of professional administrative experience supporting a senior leader in a large organization
  • Recent experience (in the past five years or less) in an administrative support of a Director or a Vice President
  • Demonstrated experience with: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word; Expense Reporting Systems, Internet search engines and map/direction utilities.
  • Experience with calendar management, meeting scheduling and coordination, planning events, expense reports, and data reports.
  • Existing DOD TS/SCI clearance
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to access US only data

  • Possess professional presence and phone/reception skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, utilize and implement IT automation tools to affect the efficiency of the office

  • Demonstrated knowledge of all facets of Raytheon structure including various business areas
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Raytheon visitor request/registration systems
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work within a multi-tasking environment and stay on top of task deadlines and due dates
  • Demonstrated experience synthesizing data into information
  • Candidate should also demonstrate attention to detail, have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changes in priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others in a diverse and inclusive environment
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written (i.e., grammar, spelling, punctuation)
  • Active DoD Secret clearance

Minimum education requirement: High School diploma required

Desired Education: Bachelor’s Degree

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance. 128293
