Role: Senior Commercial Manager - Weapons

Summary of Role:
The post-holder will deliver the commercial and subcontracts function for the Weapons Area and participate across the business area in multi-functional activities. The post holder will need to be adaptive and confident in developing and delivering outcomes and messages across an international customer and supplier base and be able to matrix manage into the wider Raytheon organization.
Provide leadership to, and day to day management of, the Weapons Commercial and Subcontract team, delivering an effective and motivated team including finalising contract closures, recruitment, performance management and talent development;
Create and develop collaborate working relationships with existing and potential customers and suppliers and act as a compelling ambassador for Raytheon.
Lead in the creation and delivery of Business Area strategies including Teaming and Contract management strategies and relationship management plans at Programme, Mission and Business Area levels;
Develop and present business cases/briefing materials for senior management reviews and participate in/leads cross-functional improvement activities;
Development of innovative Contract solutions in support of Proposals in the acquire stage, resolution of issues in the execution phase whilst maintaining focus on delivery;
Audit compliance with complex due diligence requirements;
. Experienced people manager able to motivate and deliver functional teams to meet the Area’s commercial strategies and successful completion of programmes;
. Good working knowledge of import/export legislation with specific and relevant experience of ITAR and its application in international delivery;
. Experience of proposal and programme governance and compliance with the ability to translate policy and processes into action;
. Experience of negotiating/changing multiple types of high value, non-standard agreements with international customers and an understanding of cultural methods of working in negotiations;
. Experience of Customer Relationship Management and collaborative working in BS11000 environment with experience of working with international Aerospace customers;
. Holds or able to obtain SC security clearance;
. Mentoring and coaching experience;
. Understanding and application of continuous improvement working methodologies;
. Varied experience of Defence and Aerospace contracting for the provision of goods and services;
. Good working knowledge of application or and compliance with Defence Reform Act provisions from both a prime and subcontractor perspective;
. Experience of working within an international matrix management
