SAIC has an immediate need for a Junior Web Applications Developer to support the Pilot Training Next program for the Air Force Education Training Command (AETC) located at multiple customer sites Orlando, Florida and/or Austin, Texas and/or Huntsville, Alabama.

Our Web Applications Developers create rapid prototypes, design, develop and test web-based applications, and integrate and maintain database solutions to augment the PTN training environment. We are looking for front-end, back-end and/or full stack experience. Our user interface is accessed via Windows, Apple and Android personal computers and mobile devices. Our environment implements an AngularJS front-end and Spring Boot back-end, connected to a PostgreSQL database. Solutions are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and integrate with the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS).



Required Education:  BS and 2+ years of related experience.

Required Skills:

  • Comfortable using multiple technology stacks, including Java (Spring, Spring Boot) and JavaScript (AngularJS)
  • Experience designing and integrating applications with PostgreSQL databases
  • Experience using source control, such as Git
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment

Desired Skills:

  • Experience hosting and/or migrating applications to cloud platforms, such as Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform and MS Azure
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools to include JIRA and Confluence
