ManTech is seeking a dynamic and organized technical Deputy Program Manager to develop and cultivate ManTech’s technical and administrative staff on a challenging program supporting the nation’s most critical law enforcement information systems. The ideal candidate brings experience supporting critical IT Operations & Maintenance programs, a passion for coaching and developing technical resources, and a history supporting large-scale government contracts.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Program Manager, customer, technical leads, and technical program staff to meet contract and program staffing and performance needs.
Be responsible as a secondary point of contact with the customer for all matters regarding the program.
Be responsible for service delivery of complex technology operations and maintenance efforts across multiple critical government systems.
Act as the resource manager for a technical staff of more than 200 resources (both ManTech employees and subcontractors).
Be responsible for developing and managing a pipeline of program technical staff, including the management of individuals in the clearance pipeline.
Act as the primary liaison with ManTech’s recruiting team to identify, screen, interview, and hire technical staff in support of the program.
Provide direct performance management and oversight of program technical staff, to include coaching and employee development and regular reviews.
Provide oversight and approval of employee time reporting and charging, and ensure compliance with ManTech time reporting policies.
Provide direct support to the Program Manager for program reporting, deliverables, and staff management.
At least 10 years of experience managing complex, enterprise IT projects for or supporting U.S. Government agencies.
Experience preparing program Initiation, Execution and Closeout for program procurements and provide program management oversight over engineering and technical support for craft construction and technical support.
Experience with IT Service Management, ITIL, or the Scaled Agile Framework is desired.
Managerial experience providing technical advice, organizing, planning, directing and managing staff to ensure goals and objectives are achieved is required.
Experience with the direct management and supervision of large organizations in a variety of labor categories and skills is required.
Experience with risk management, issue resolution, and problem solving is required.
Knowledge of system architectures, networks, and operations is required.
