Job Description: Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services is seeking a Sr. Field Engineer II to perform radar engineering duties at the Mobile Sensors Management Office PAFB, FL and onboard forward deployed ships designed specifically for radar data collection. This position requires several months of remote assignment on board the USNS Howard O Lorenzen TAGM-25 or the USNS Invincible TAGM-24. Duties while on board include mission/track planning, operation, maintenance, and repair of a dual S and X Band phase array radar system and communications equipment. Duties at the MSMO include providing support for software engineering, operation and maintenance of the Software Maintenance Management Facility to include training of customer personnel, as well as development of job hazard analysis, system operation and maintenance procedures, monthly reports, drawings, subcontractor statement of work descriptions, technical evaluations and configuration control change request. This position requires radar operation during tracking and testing while onboard the vessels. Additional collateral duties as assigned. Reports to the Program Manager (PM) and the Ship Operations Manager (SOM).
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Required Education (including Major):
BS in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Physics/Mathematics/Computer Science or
8 years plus of related experience can substitute for education.
This position is required to have an existing Secret Security Clearance. This position is partially located on a forward deployed vessel that spends a lot of time at sea. Candidates must not be hindered by motion sickness and must be able to pass a maritime physical. This position does not include a relocation package.
