Job Description:

The Raytheon IIS Hardware and Infrastructure Engineering (HW&I) team has a professional position as an Application Container Orchestrator available to support design and implementation of Docker and Kubernetes container technologies. The qualified individual will be well-versed in packaging and deploying COTS/FOSS applications as containers, and able to support our Software Engineers in doing the same for custom-developed application code. An existing US Government TS/SCI clearance and US Citizenship is required for this position.

Note: Candidates with a current TS/SCI security clearance or higher are eligible for a $20,000 sign on bonus if the clearance is confirmed and the candidate is hired by Raytheon

Required Skills:

  • Active US Government TS/SCI security clearance with US Citizenship
  • Experience with packaging and distributing containerized applications using Docker
  • Experience automating deployments of containerized applications using Kubernetes
  • Linux administration skills
  • Scripting skills in languages like Python, Perl, bash
  • 6 years of related work experience
Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with and evangelist for other DevOps tools and technologies (Infrastructure build automation, CI/CD software release)
  • Knowledge of private (VMware/OpenStack) and public (AWS) cloud technologies
  • Exposure to information assurance standards compliance (DISA STIGs, ICD-503)

Education Requirements:

Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 6 years of related work experience or 14 years of related work experience in lieu of a STEM degree
