Job Description: The Special Operations Brigade G2 Trainer/Advisor/Mentor shall implement and operate programs, practices, and procedures for developing optimal utilization of personnel to Train, Advise, Assist and Mentor (TAAM) the Afghan Special Security Forces (ASSF) in intelligence functions necessary to receive, process, produce and provide intelligence support to the Special Operations Brigade (SOB) of the Afghan National Army Special Operations Command (ANASOC). Assist counterparts in development and management of a Common Intelligence Picture (CIP). The SOB G2 Advisor will design and administer programs to TAAM all levels of personnel with intelligence functions and integrate between the SOB & ANASOC. The SOB G2 Advisor will develop tests and visual aids in order to assist with the TAAM process of all subordinate organization staff sections on their duties and responsibilities. The TAAM process includes, but is not limited to the following: Targeting Operations IOT operationalize the deliberate targeting process; fusion between G-3 Operations and G2 Intelligence in the targeting cycle and target planning activities enabling the SOB to make recommendations and produce target products; intelligence disciplines applicable for Afghanistan sustainable and unilateral intelligence capabilities to include but not limited to HUMINT, GEOINT, OSINT, and All-Source. Assist with development of an intelligence cycles necessary to carry out various operations such as Find, Fix, Finish, Exploit, Analyze, and Disseminate (F3EAD) for targeting.
Monitor partnered force operations and actively assist or provide training and direction as needed. Create, maintain, and deliver to the TL & DPM to include all reporting requirements and data/information for monthly performance review and training reports.
Required Hours: Work may include nights, holidays, and weekends on short notice. Standard will be to conduct training six (6) days per week for up to ten (10) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s) and a standard 40 hour work week while at CONUS work sites.
Shall be responsible for the application of the Train, Advise, Assist, and Mentor (TAAM) Model that supports the training and development of the staff.
Implement ANASOC best practices as appropriate to support the SOB G2 Section development.
Report to the SOB-N Team Leader and Deputy Program Manager.
Will be responsible for regularly interacting with US military personnel along with local site managers.
Trainer will be responsible for assessing how well the ANASOC students have learned the coursework.
Monitor ASSF operations in the Area of Responsibility in order to know what to TAAM counterparts on with regard to intelligence.
The Advisor shall TAAM ASSF on the following but not limited to:
SOB G2 Training IAW respective program of instruction for staff functions associated with battalion and brigade level intelligence tactics, techniques, and procedures.
Multi-echelon staff integration and intelligence support to Brigade and Battalion level exercises and forward command post establishment.
Integration of intelligence reports from multiple sources and production of intelligence collection plans using organic ASSF collection methods and procedures.
The development and management of a Common Intelligence Picture (CIP); tie into the Common Operating Picture (COP).
Former E7/CW2/O3 with over six years’ experience in the intelligence field.
Previous military occupational skill of 18F, 35, or service equivalent.
Must be able to competently operate a Personal Computer to include excellent skills with MS Office (Word, PPT, Excel, etc.).
Excellent Leadership, Organizational and Project Management Skills.

Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills.
Ability to plan and organize work, analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data and recognize solutions.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
This position requires a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization
Must be able to obtain a Visa for Afghanistan.
Must possess a US Passport with at least 6 months of remaining eligibility.
Any additional needs and requirements not covered in the job description based on directives provided by the team leader and/or the Deputy Program Manager.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Include but are not limited to the wear of body armor and helmet Personal Protective Gear, unassisted lifting and carrying of duffle bags not exceed the weight of 70 lbs per piece, and the unassisted movement over uneven terrain.
Must be willing to work and live in Afghanistan with an understanding that there could be further assignments to any location in Afghanistan based upon the needs of the U.S. Government, to include hostile and austere areas.
Must be able to attend and pass USG deployment requirements at CONUS Replacement Center (CRC), Fort Bliss, Texas or equivalent location.
Must meet the medical requirements for the position being offered as determined by a pre-employment medical screening and in accordance with published CRC and USCENTCOM medical deployment standards.
Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to eight (8) hours per day and sit for up to three (3) hours per day.
Must be able to routinely climb / descend stairs.
Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows / knees, and reach above / below shoulders.
Must be able to read and interpret newspaper and typewritten print.
Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
Employee will be required to work and live in a potentially hostile environment, at remote locations, and under austere conditions.
May be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, under extreme weather conditions, within a hostile environment.
May be exposed to extreme noise from aircraft, hostile fire, and other acts of aggression associated with this region.
Contractor personnel shall comply with all theater command policies, regulations, and General Orders. All tours are unaccompanied
Security Clearance Requirement: Must possess and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance.
Previous assignments in combat arms and experience at the Battalion/Squadron level or equivalent and higher.
Prefer previous experience training and advising foreign military soldiers.
12 months experience in Afghanistan preferred.
Previous experience as an Observer/Controller-Trainer for G2 functions at a Combat Training Center.
Bachelor's degree from accredited school & six (6) years of related experience, OR four (4) years related experience with Master's degree. Eight (8) years of additional equivalent work experience (14 total years) may be accepted in lieu of BA/BS education requirement.
