They lead multi-disciplinary teams to define product strategy and develop, launch, and enhance products and services that drive our business forward.  GDIT is currently focused on enabling thousands of agile teams across the enterprise to ship releases with desired functionality, speed, and security.

In this role you will:

  • Lead multiple teams for multiple clients, totaling 25 staff, through a rigorous process of agile development and test
  • Identify and develop a viable product that meets clients business needs
  • Liaise closely with clients to understand their business needs

    • Contract/Subcontract Management 
    • On-time and on-budget delivery of projects through organizing, developing and routinely forecasting project plans and project budget
    • Change Leadership – Manage the transition to ensure adoption of change, build strong partnerships and communication plans with all project stakeholders and project team members 
    • Adhere to the PM processes and actively prepares for / participates in all structured project reviews 
  • Relentlessly push to understand user and stakeholder needs and ensure they are considered in prioritization and trade-off discussions
  • Set product vision and lead road mapping, goal setting, story writing, project execution, market testing and roll-out strategy
  • Test and iterate in small-scale pilots to validate concepts, refine them to achieve product-market fit, and then scale to drive enterprise adoption and operation efficiencies
  • Regularly and systematically use key performance metrics to uncover opportunities, track product performance, and drive decision making
  • Prioritize, negotiate and remove blockers to orchestrate successful launch or optimization cycle
  • Understand high-level concepts of cloud providers (AWS and Azure) as well as be able to converse with developers on a daily basis, as they are the primary customer
  • Manage the design and development of computer software applications


Required Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of related software development experience, including supervisory experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in technical project management
  • At least 3 years of professional coding experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement (DAWIA) equivalent certified is required
  • Secret security clearance is required


Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into technologist facing digital product
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile product management
  • Creative problem solver who lives at the intersection of Human, Business and Technology dimensions.  Deep fluency and experience in at least two dimensions and understanding of the third
  • Strong quantitative background to support data-informed decision making
  • Creative, outside-the-box thinking and problem solving approach
  • Deep planning skills with the ability to organize thematic work areas in deep detail with long term vision and iterative execution
  • Collaborative, team player attitude with the ability to navigate and influence the organization.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices; and Government contract and subcontract management
