As a Signal Processing Engineer, your tasks may include:

  • Working in detailed high fidelity simulations written in C/C++ and Matlab, to develop, prototype, and test sensor models and signal processing algorithms
  • Working in production and engineering lab test environments and field test environments to test, verify, and validate sensor models and signal processing algorithm requirements and performance
  • Working in all phases of missile development from program start up to live fire test, to provide engineering support by participating in project design reviews and peer reviews, including technical briefings to internal leadership and external customers

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Required Experience & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Optical Sciences, Computer Science, Math, or Physics with 6 years of experience as described below (MS with 4 years of experience or Ph.D. with 2 years of experience)
  • Six (6) years of experience in radar or electro-optical signal processing algorithm development and system performance prediction for complex missile applications
  • Four (4) years of experience running and modifying tactical simulations, including embedded tactical code
  • Recent applied work experience with C++ (other compiled languages considered)
  • Experience with Matlab developing signal processing algorithms and performing data analysis
  • Must possess prior coursework or experience in multiple areas including: Signals & Systems, Linear Algebra, Digital Signal Processing, Probability Theory, Statistics, Stochastic Signal Processing, Electro Magnetic Theory, Pattern Recognition, and/or Machine Learning

Other Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen and must have an existing or the ability to obtain a Department of Defense issued Secret Security clearance.
Must be willing to relocate to Tucson, AZ (comprehensive relocation package available)
Must pass a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.

Desired Experience & Skills:
  • Advanced degree preferred in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Optical Sciences, Computer Science, Math, or Physics
  • Current/Active DoD clearance or SSBI
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop and present a comprehensive technical briefing
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Solution oriented individual who has initiative to solve complex systems problems
  • Ability to communicate technical details to all levels of the organization
  • Hardware and software integration knowledge and experience
