Position:  796-Navy Project Coordinator Type:  Full Time Location:  Norfolk, Virginia

FTI is currently looking for a Navy Project Coordinator for Non-CESE equipment supporting work in Norfolk, VA. The Navy Project Coordinatorwill support the COMNECC Directors of Maintenance and Table of Allowance (TOA) in the establishment of processes and procedures for maintaining the material condition of TOA equipment, developing integrated Continuous Maintenance, Regular Overhaul and Repair Availability schedules and planning and executing the annual maintenance budget.  This support includes the maintenance of availability planning milestones, the development maintenance reports, briefs and POA&M, validating notional availability work package cost estimates, tracking availability execution, and tracking technical issues on CMPs, CASREPs and DFS.  The Navy Project Coordinator shall assist in validating maintenance requirements with the echelon IVs and planning availabilities with Maintenance Center and services contract workload.  Additionally, the Navy Project Coordinator shall assist the Material Readiness Assessment (MRA) team and other Type Desk Assistants in tracking maintenance availably work packages to completion.  

Additionally, the Navy Project Coordinator will assist in the evaluation and execution of maintenance and TOA management for Force logistic readiness policies and procedures through the analysis of TOAs. The individual should be familiar with automated information systems, such as ABFC View, RCRP, DPAS, VSB, OMMS, CASREP, Crane Registry, and EXMIS TOA inventory management tools and other related accountability and readiness reporting software to review material on hand, including asset location and condition. The employee will work with TOA Manager and subordinate unit personnel to identify problem areas of equipment such as Dive gear, EOD tool and equipment, Weapons, Communication and Unmanned systems (air and underwater) equipment to identify and make recommendations for corrections to the TOAs.  Evaluate alternate sources of supply for material not on hand; review plans for embarkation of the TOA modules in various types and sizes of containers.  Assist in performing analysis on systems capabilities, identifying system deficiencies, evaluating alternatives, and assessing impacts and developments in logistic Information Technology systems supporting NECC outfitting, Integrated Logistic Support (ILS), phase replacement, technical refresh, and continuous overhaul programs.

Assist in preparing staff reports and organizes/delivers briefings to NECC N43 staff to ensure acceptance of findings and recommendations. This work is in Norfolk, VA.



  • Track availability execution milestones and escalate schedule issues to N435
  • Track execution budget versus controls and escalate issues to N435
  • Track and schedule the right maintenance period to support operations
  • Track DFS and ensure execution according to technical authority
  • Track CASREPs and ensure that action is taken in accordance with JFMM
  • Track execution of maintenance availabilities to ensure TYCOM requirements are met
  • Track execution budget funds throughout the availability

          Review, Quality Assurance, and escalation

  • Validate, Screen and Broker I & D requirements for the echelon IVs
  • Review additional funding requests during execution to ensure the work meets the TYCOM requirements
  • Escalate risks and mitigation strategies
  • Work to ensure maintenance availability closeout meets TYCOM requirement and report status to N435
  • Assure technical issues are resolved (DFS, CASREP, TOA)
  • Review availability SITREPs
  • Review Work packages for completeness
  • Review work packages for funding requirements versus available controls
  • Review Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) products for correctness and make recommendations as required
  • Familiar with maintenance activities for Depot level work
  • Capable to properly determine the correct resolution inclusive of the root cause

          Support and Coordinate

  • Facilitate information flow to N435 concerning CASREPs, DFS, INSURV, MRA preparations and completion
  • Coordinate Corrective Maintenance and Emergent Maintenance with echelon IV leadership
  • Perform availability analysis and support the Hot-wash Process
  • Support Business Case Analysis (BCA) provide updates to N435
  • Assist in establishing and re-distributing maintenance funding levels
  • Attend planning meetings with to discuss and review work packages/SOW
  • Attend weekly execution meetings as required
  • TOA management and structure
  • Consolidate all maintenance availability information into briefing slides for N435
  • Brief Chain of Command on ongoing maintenance status


  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent vocational degree or general educational diploma and a minimum of 5 years' general experience in their respective trade and at least 3 consecutive years of experience repairing and troubleshooting of the NON-CESE equipment in CRF, EOD, NAVELSG, NCF and NEIC Table of Allowances.
  • Familiar with JFMM Vol II; Part II; Ch1, experience/knowledge in 3-M preferred with a working knowledge of VSB with an active MFOM/VSB account preferred. 
  • Have extensive knowledge of technical requirements.  Ability to identify complex problems and solutions relating to the NON-CESE equipment in CRF, EOD, NAVELSG, NCF and NEIC Table of Allowances.


  • CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Employee may access remote areas of multi-level vessels
  • Some travel will be required
  • Must possess an active government security clearance
