Frontier Technology Inc. (FTI) is searching for a competent and experienced Quality Manager to join our team.  The Quality Manager is responsible for overall development, implementation, and maintenance of FTI’s Quality Management System (QMS).We are seeking candidates with a strong background in quality management and exceptional leadership abilities.  The Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring continual quality improvement.  In this role, the successful applicant will ensure that our products and services meet all necessary requirements and quality standards before they reach the customers.  The Quality Manager must fully understand the requirements for the product or service, understand contractual obligations, and have a sense of responsibility towards our existing and potential customers.  The Quality Manager will support the development, launch and implementation of company-wide business improvement practices and processes leveraging industry best practices such as Lean Six Sigma, ISO and CMMI. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides technical expertise, training, facilitation and tools to promote continuous improvement efforts across Corporate and Operations as well as with customers and industry partners
  • Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality control program/project deliverables.
  • Application of continuous improvement and quality procedures, including but not limited to promoting, training, coaching and assisting in the implementation
  • Review products, processes and systems on an ongoing basis to understand current environments and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Understand customer needs and requirements to develop and implement effective quality assurance and quality control processes
  • Oversee all deliverable development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards, provide feedback and guidance to Corporate and Operations leadership
  • Audit and improve compliance and quality of deliverables to our customers
  • Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
  • Gather relevant data and develop metrics to measure adherence to business process improvements and monitor performance
  • Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met
  • Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives
  • Verify our quality requirements are specified to vendors and subcontractor documentation submittals
  • Review products, processes and systems on an ongoing basis to determine where improvements can be made
  • Execute process improvement initiatives to determine how processes can be completed in an effective, efficient and cost saving manner
  • Responsible for clarifying scope and ensuring process improvement effort maintains direction and fulfills expectations of sponsors, using charters and other project management tools
  • Additional job duties or responsibilities may be assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field
  • 5+ years’ quality management and/or process improvement experience
  • Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt certification desired
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects successfully is required
  • Previous experience leading or assisting process change projects related to the implementation and use of the principles of Six Sigma/Process Improvement
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office
  • Travel requirement 10%
