Position:  794-Project Scheduler/Analyst Type:  Full Time Location:  San Diego, California

FTI is currently looking for a Project Scheduler/Analyst in San Diego as follows:

Under minimal supervision, manages Program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and supporting activities, including Critical Path Analysis. Collaborates with cross functional teams to ensure project timelines are accurate and up to date.  Collects and organizes documents from project team members; responsible for organization and configuration management within Collaborative Software Tool.


  • Execute integrated master scheduling functions including reporting, integration of activities, schedule risk analysis, and budget impact analysis
  • Maintain project documentation
  • Consistently attends and/or coordinate project meetings to keep abreast of project schedules, timelines and changes
  • Using Microsoft Project keeps Integrated Master Schedule accurate updating all aspects of the schedule and being cognizant of relationships between tasks and due dates. Creates charts and graphics to visualize project timelines (Gantt).
  • Measure and track progress to activities and milestones
  • Engages with project team leaders on a regular basis to ensure information is updated and accurate
  • Adhere to scheduling and resource planning standards
  • Keeps updated notes and action items in meetings and provides meeting minutes to attendees as well as maintain an action log
  • Provides inputs and recommendations for collection of metrics
  • Provides technical expertise on the use of Microsoft Project


  • (Required) Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, or an engineering field
  • Proficiency (formal training) with Microsoft Project
  • 1-3 years experience in same/similar job such as task admin, project controller, task lead or project manager
  • 2+ years of analysis experience in the Navy/DoD domain
  • Proven effectiveness as a team member to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking, writing and graphics so others will understand
  • Ability to understand and communicate impact of critical path activities to achieve task and program success
  • Excellent writing, communication, analytical and instructional design skills
  • Proven effectiveness as a team member to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experienced in SharePoint Portal or other collaborative tool
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be available for periodic travel within the United States
