Position:  791-Business Development Manager Type:  Full Time Location:  Los Angeles, California

Frontier Technology, Inc. (FTI) is seeking a full-time business development individual with program management experience to join our team of qualified, talented, and diverse individuals. Primary work location is in Los Angeles, CA in support of the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC).


  • Create business development leads, help stand up new contracts, task orders and interview new FTI candidates for employment.
  • Leverage FTI Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) analysis methods, tools and contract solutions to study problems and but solutions in place.
  • Interface with SMC government personnel, companies and other entities to discover problems and put solutions in place.
  • Interface with FTI business development and operational personnel to grow new work and help manage the work as it comes on contract.
  • Serves as the FTI lead interface at SMC.
  • Work with all SMC capability directorates to find growth opportunities and support tasking.
  • Help apply FTI SBIR methods and tools across SMC 2-Letters.
  • Create business development leads by conducting meetings, attending conferences and mature those leads through the FTI capture process.
  • Interface with SMC government personnel, potential teammates and FTI personnel.
  • Present FTI capabilities and contracting solutions.
  • Populate the FTI business development opportunity pipeline.
  • Help fill FTI positions as work comes on contract.
  • Help negotiate FTI teaming agreements.


  • 10+ years actively working in the SMC environment
  • 5+ years of program management and/or supervisory experience in the DoD environment.
  • Experience creating and developing business development leads and growing work.
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams (i.e. project manager, logisticians, engineers, program analyst)
  • Ability to work independently with geographically dispersed team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with MS Excel and other MS Office tools


Bachelors degree desired

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance
