Description

SAIC has an opening for a .NET Software Developer in Richmond, Virginia. This role is in support of Unit Level Logistics System-Aviation (Enhanced), ULLS-A(E), which is the current Army Aviation maintenance software. 
 
Job Description:  As a Software Developer you will support a software development team that provides software sustainment activities to enhance and support Army Aviation maintenance activities worldwide.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Development of system requirements and specifications,
  • Development of new software development, system integration, compliance with Information Assurance policies and requirements, systems level formal qualification and regression testing of software applications.
  • Coordination and integration between multiple vendors’ software.
  • Writing and maintaining Interface Control Documents (ICD) and Application Programming Interfaces (API’s) for existing and newly developed software. 
  • Development is in a Microsoft Windows environment utilizing Visual Studio.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in a recognized engineering discipline or related technical field is required. 
  • 5+ years of related experience is required. 
  • Candidate must currently have a SECRET security clearance.
Desired Skills: 
  • Experience taking user requirements and developing them into system requirements.  
  • Experience developing software systems using the Microsoft VB.NET and C# languages and a working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Candidate must have experience using Team Foundation Server.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Java Messaging, CodeSmith generator, and the Extensible Application Markup Language (XAML).  
  • Experience developing and integrating Windows applications to include utilization of web services and database technologies.
  • Knowledge of Army Aviation maintenance regulations, policies, processes and data is a plus.
