Quality Control Inspector - Military veterans preferred

The inspector will be responsible for quality in process and final inspection of product hardware before going into stock by utilizing relevant measurement tools and devices.
The individual will be responsible for inspection of assembled hardware with decision making on acceptance/rejection and/or reporting of any findings not covered in inspection procedures to engineering for further evaluation.
The individual will be responsible for following inspection plans or work instruction to determine if parts meet requirements per engineering or production drawings. Must have the ability to interpret instructions (verbal, written, illustration).
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
Other responsibilities include:
Conduct in-process quality inspections and work with Engineering to meet schedule in a production environment.
Schedule and prioritize work load in area of responsibility with support from supervision.
Review and scorecard inspection plans.
Process product status through factory data base tools
Coordinate with Quality/Process/Manufacturing Engineering to investigate and record nonconforming product.
Working safely every day and supporting efforts to maintain an injury free work place
Defining and establishing part inspection processes that are cost effective and meet all quality requirements
High attention to detail in personal work as well as fellow team member’s work
Day to day interaction with Raytheon employees including all levels of management
Changing and improving processes to increase productivity and competitiveness
Meeting cost & schedule commitments while maintaining the utmost standards for quality
Promoting a spirit of cooperation and following company policies
Minimum 4 years of quality/inspection related experience
Experience working in quality inspection or hardware inspection environment on complex tooling and hardware.
Able to read, understand, and follow detailed inspection plans and work instructions.
Working knowledge of MS Office applications and database software.
Ability to read and interpret quality requirements, detailed engineering or production drawings, determine dimensions and tolerance specifications for pass/fail assessment.
Experience in a fast paced shop environment supporting multiple priorities
Ability to interface effectively with support groups, customers, management and team members
Computer skills related to documenting inspection results
Ability to read and understand various Raytheon, military and commercial specifications
Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
Experience working in a clean room environment.
Experience working in ESD and FOD controlled areas.
Able to conduct a First Article Inspection (FAI) and maintain appropriate records.
Working knowledge of VM, PRISM, or Common PDM data base tools.
Wire bonding and Soldering operations or inspection certification/training
Highly competent and trustworthy. Sincere relationship management skills are a must
Exceptional interpersonal written and oral communication skills
Ability to work any shift
High school diploma or equivalent.
