Description

SAIC is currently looking for a highly cleared Principal Systems Administrator will be responsible for scoping, developing, deploying, monitoring and maintaining the computing systems for three facilities located in the Washington DC/ Baltimore area.


• S/he will be responsible for assigning and troubleshooting roles and permissions on multiple systems; development and maintenance of the organization’s Intranet CMS and other assets; contributing to data security protocols; documenting and developing training materials for users of various systems; and, setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting systems and services in Windows and Linux ecosystems.

Minimum Qualifications


• 10 years of Windows and Unix/Linux system administrator experience, including design, installation, patching, configuration, and troubleshooting. Hyper-V VDI Cluster experience, including design, installation, patching, configuration, and troubleshooting


• Windows virtualization experience including, installation, patching, configuration, and troubleshooting


• DNSSEC experience including design, installation, patching, configuration, and troubleshooting


• Cisco WLAN WLC/WiFi experience including design, installation, patching, configuration, and troubleshooting. Cisco ASA/Firepower experience including design, installation, patching, configuration, and troubleshooting


• OnSSI Video Surveillance experience including design, installation, patching, configuration, and troubleshooting


• Proficiency with the Drupal CMS and/or the technologies that underlie it – i.e., PHP and MySQL. Xerox Printer and Multifunction copier experience including installation, patching, configuration, and troubleshooting


• Ability to be flexible, identify solutions for common needs across projects, and rapidly learn new technologies


Preferences:


• Experience supporting technology in a higher education environment


• Experience supporting technology in a DoD/IC secure environment


• Knowledge of Department of Defense security protocols


• Knowledge of command-line based tools


• Knowledge of data security protocols and best practices


• Knowledge of back-end (e.g., LAMP, Ruby) and/or front-end (e.g, HTML, CSS, JS, JavaScript, JQuery) web technologies
