Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing business analyst services in a government environment and includes the following responsibilities 

  • Understand requests for functionality changes, enhancements and process improvements in business terminology then distill and translate these requests into functional and technical requirements

  • Provide recommendations on enhancements based on past experience

  • Document requirements and procedural information

  • Respond to requests and issues, document enhancements and defects, support the software development lifecycle processes and other supporting ITIL processes for the ServiceNow platform

  • Test new features and functionality and confirming defects have been addressed in ServiceNow

  • Creating ad hoc reports and dashboards as requested

  • Serve as a liaison between developers and business team members

  • Facilitate the software development lifecycle

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for ServiceNow platform related questions 

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent technical field. Four additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in performing work encompassed by this job description within the IT setting providing Business Analyst support

  • Candidate must be self-motivated, proactive, positive, and enjoy the challenges of business analysis in a complex and unpredictable work environment

  • Min. 2 yrs exp. working with ServiceNow implementation as a business analyst or equivalent tasking

  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and desktop applications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to mediate discussions with conflicting requirements

  • Strong logic and analytical skills

  • Organized and detailed documentation skills

  • Strong work ethic with a focus on quality, results and customer satisfaction

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • ITIL Foundations certification

  • ServiceNow Training  / Certifications (CSA, Implementation Specialist)

  • Experience with IT Operations Management (understanding of technology infrastructure components and the requirements of individual applications, services, storage, networking, connectivity, and security elements within an organization; including the ITIL best practices for management and administration of these elements to the betterment of the organization).

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust (pass a NACI Background Investigation)
