This is a temporary position of undetermined length.

The Transportation Security Deployment Services (TEDS) IDIQ contract was awarded in 2016, and since that time Raytheon has won several task orders. The Multi-Disciplined Engineer II will support the performance and execution of awarded task orders. Raytheon’s scope includes performing surveys of all existing equipment, Electrical and Data infrastructure, architectural floor plans, layouts and construction documents supporting the installation and/or removal of TSE for airport checked baggage systems and security checkpoints.

Primary responsibilities include design and assembly of a standardized drawing package and Site Implementation Plans (SIP’s), working closely with the AutoCAD team to ensure accurate and professional products to our customer. Once Checked Baggage and Checkpoint Designs and configurations are approved and all major issues presented in the site survey and design package have been resolved, prepare and submit a Site Implementation Plan (SIP) detailing all steps to be conducted throughout the installation process.

Required Skills:

  • 5 years of Airport / Engineering / Architecture design work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in using Autodesk Software
  • Demonstrated experience in using Checkpoint Design Guidelines (CDG) for Security Screening Checkpoint Design
  • Demonstrated experience in using Planning Design Guidelines Standards (PGDS) for Checked Baggage Inspection Systems (CBIS)
  • Demonstrated experience in creating 30%, 70%, and 100% design drawing packages
  • Demonstrated experience in creating IFC Drawings and interfacing with Airport Authorities to submit drawings for review and to complete the permit application process
  • Demonstrated experience with Design Drawing Quality reviews
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the U.S., primarily in the Central Region
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture
