Job Description:
Raytheon Missile Systems is seeking a highly qualified, results driven Tool Fabrication Shop Leader who will oversee a group of approximately 30 hourly non-exempt machinists. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of staffing, training, budgets, schedules and capital equipment improvement justifications. Must be customer focused and driven to meet on-time delivery commitments.

Position Requirements:

  • Prioritize project issues and assists in the resolutions process to meet productivity, cost, quality, and organizational goals and contractual delivery requirements
  • Extensive background in Machine Technologies and Shop Practices
  • Blue Print Reading

  • Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills
  • Ability to develop scheduling & tracking methodologies
  • Ability to develop performance matrix pertaining to Cost, Quality, and Schedule
  • Ability to grow a collaborative culture with Engineering community
  • Maintain an audit ready environment
  • Coordinate on-boarding of new members (Training, Safety, PPV, Operation Policies, Attendance & Timecard, Performance Expectations)
  • Familiar with Bargain Unit Agreements and maintaining compliance to terms
  • Ability to Manage approximately 30 employees and coordinating their daily activities
  • Provide the required resources (facilities, processes, equipment, training, etc.) to ensure all employees work in a safe working environment
  • Support & Coordination of Daily Standup Meetings
  • Coordination of “off-hours” support (Overtime & Weekends)

Required Experience:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in at least one of the following areas:
  • Machine Shop fabrication experience
  • Shop Floor Management
  • Manufacturing Leadership Position

Desired Attributes:
Experience working in a cross-functional team environment
  • Knowledge of Shop Floor Management Software & Shop Loading in rapidly changing environment
  • Knowledge of Quality Standards and Practices
  • Ability to develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity
  • Understanding of sequencing for fabrication, assembly, installation, testing and other manufacturing operations relation to specific portion of the product.

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school.
Additional years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
