Job Description:
Position is full-time exempt (salaried) working with the Life Cycle Contractor Support for the Warfighter FOCUS (WFF) program under the Warrior Training Alliance (WTA) at the U.S. Army’s 2/13th Aviation Regiment, Unmanned Aircraft Systems Training Center, Ft. Huachuca, AZ. WTA brings to bear the full capabilities of many of the world's best systems integration and engineering companies in the technical integration of live, virtual and constructive (LVC) training support. WTA operations support the Ft. Huachuca Intel/UAS Training mission: to provide realistic joint and combined arms training focused on developing soldiers, leaders, and units of the United States military for success on the 21st Century Battle Field.

Responsible for the successful completion of all training tasks in assigned program area including technical work, staffing, and budget. Act as Site lead in their absence. Manages and resolves all issues related to the levels and quality of performance versus the requirements as specified in the PEO-STRI Task Order Statement of Work. Duties and responsibilities include; directing daily staff and task activities to meet customer and corporate work objectives; assuring quality of task products, services, and deliverables, including participating in customer reviews, coordinating and monitoring sub-contractor activities; attend and participate in customer and program manager meetings as develops, reviews, and approves schedules, and other technical documents; prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to management and the customer as requested; serves as a liaison with customer to coordinate training and solve training problems relevant to mission execution; ensures compliance with customer training standards and policies; maintains all necessary documentation related to assigned tasks and projects; participates in special projects as required; coordinates with subcontractor site management and the COR/ACOR to resolve task order associated operational issues at the site level.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years’ leadership experience in Unmanned Aircraft Systems in either the Military or Civilian Aviation
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Current U.S. SECRET Security clearance or ability to obtain U.S. SECRET Security Clearance
  • Ability to formulate thoughts and convey information in multiple fashions at various skill levels
  • Skilled and focused on the overall goal, confronting day to day issues a must
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
  • Multidisciplinary team management skills, ability to positively react to changes in directions, and prioritize tasks
  • Outstanding interaction skills, tact, and team building skills
  • Must use logic to analyze or identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts associated with information or data to draw conclusions
  • Thorough Knowledge of government contract management
  • Working Knowledge of MS Office applications

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation or related technical discipline. May substitute experience for education.

Desired Experience/Skills:
  • Graduate of the U.S Army Shadow, Hunter or Gray Eagle UAS Qualification Course (Operator or Maintainer)
  • Military experience (Preferably Army)
  • OEF/OIF experience
  • Ability to instruct on UAS Task
