Exciting opportunity to join the GDIT marketing communications team. In this role, you will take full ownership of the defense sector marketing and brand strategy, including the development of integrated marketing campaigns and account based marketing strategies. You will work closely with the business development team, internal subject matter experts, strategic technology partners, and the wider marketing function to deliver compelling and impactful marketing programs. You will be joining a new, forward-thinking marketing team which is redefining the way the company goes to market.

 

Responsibilities

  • Primary lead for all GDIT defense sector related marketing programs, overseeing and synchronizing digital and traditional marketing activities
  • Develop, execute, measure and refine integrated marketing plans
  • Build close relationships with defense sector subject matter experts and operational teams
  • Act as an ambassador for the marketing team, demonstrating the value of strategic marketing initiatives
  • Work with the wider marketing team to develop content and messaging
  • Co-ordinate marketing agencies and media partners
  • Identify marketing opportunities and develop business cases for investment

Qualifications:

  • Experienced in Business-to-Business/ Business-to-Government marketing
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Professional Marketing qualification
  • Experience in cross-channel marketing communications (PR, events, digital and social media)
  • 5+ years general marketing experience
  • Proven experience developing marketing plans and integrated campaigns
  • Strategic thinker and commercially orientated
  • Experience working for large matrix organisations
 

 

8-10 years of directly related internal and or marketing communications or public relations agency experience, including supervisory experience.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
