As a Quality Assurance Engineer I within Supplier Quality, your responsibilities may include the following

  • Engineering review of drawings and related documentation to determine appropriate quality requirements for purchased parts
  • Assisting in resolution of requests from suppliers and buyers on supplier quality requirements and approved supplier issues. Working closely with members of supplier quality, supply chain, program quality and engineering to address issues preventing material procurement.
  • Creation and publishing of supplier quality performance metrics / data. This will include analyzing supplier defect and performance data to identifying trends, key drivers and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinating with incoming inspection on disposition of nonconforming material provided by suppliers.
Required Skills:
  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate (or completed a degree no more than 18 months prior to start date) with an emphasis in Engineering or Quality Assurance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
Desired Skills:
  • Experience working with engineering drawings and technical requirements
  • Experience working with management and resolution of engineering issues
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Good computer skills (PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • High energy, self – starter with ability to perform work under general direction
  • Previous work experience, electrical or test engineering experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability in developing solutions to issues using an organized systemic approach
  • Experience developing and analyzing data, using the information to understand current state and predict future performance.
  • Experience with SAP
