This is a great opportunity to be a part if the Assured Systems (AS) Contracts team, to provide strategic contracts subject matter expertise to multiple programs within the Assures Systems (AS) Portfolio

This position provides contract support for multiple special access only (SAP) programs. The scope of responsibilities include: Assisting with proposal preparation, negotiation, contract and capture strategies; all aspects of contracts management support of the Assured Systems portfolio, contract negotiations disputes/claims, and intellectual property assertions; effective contract start up; providing governance to the program team in carrying out the terms of the contract, offering solutions to mitigate contractual/program risks, acting as a focal point of contact with the customer for all contractual matters, change management, and driving closure to contractual issues.

*Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 6 years of professional contracts or subcontract related experience
  • Ability to work within an integrated product team and foster trust with external and internal customers
  • Effective communicator; strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills with both external customers and internal senior level management
  • Highly motivated and organized; customer-focused; positive and enthusiastic attitude; ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Extensive Experience with DOD prime and subcontracts, with thorough knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition regulations Supplement (DFARS)
  • Thorough understanding of ITAR and export licensing
  • Expertise in change management, requests for equitable adjustments (REAs), engineering change proposals (ECPs), dispute resolution and negotiations,
  • Expertise in various contract types (Cost-type, Firm Fixed Price, Fixed Price Incentive Fee, Fixed Price Level of Effort, Time and Material, )
  • Experience researching compliance issues, applicable regulations and laws, as well as crafting and offering solutions to nonstandard and complex contracting issues
  • Ability to interpret and comply with Company Policies and Procedures
  • Ability to Obtain DoD Secret clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience working with large-scale Defense companies
  • Experience working with the United States Government
  • Experience working in a Integrated Product Team environment (IPT)
  • Possess at least a SECRET level U.S. D.O.D. security clearance
  • Current SSBI within scope and ability to obtain SAP security clearance
  • Experience with strategic planning for USG Export / Import Authorization management
  • Experience with contract restructures, claims and dispute resolution
  • Experience as the lead customer interface and demonstrated success in building strong customer relationships
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to clearly recognize risk elements in business transactions and strategies for mitigating risk
*Required Education: BS/BA in Business Administration, Finance, or related emphasis

Desired Education: Master’s degree.
