Raytheon IIS is seeking a talented individual for an on-site customer support position located in Northern Virginia to support the Sterling program. The Sterling program is based in Aurora, CO, has a customer support site located in Northern Virginia and is maintaining the software for a ground station. The position requires troubleshooting, problem resolution, Operations support, and exercise support. The individual selected must also support 24x7 on-call support with the existing site support staff. Travel to Colorado is required for training.

This position is contingent upon contract funding in early 2019.

Required Skills:

  • Must have a minimum DOD TS/SCI (existing) with current SSBI
  • Experience in the operations phase of the program lifecycle
  • Proven ability in Linux System Administration
  • Ability to troubleshoot system software, configuration, network problems
  • Ability to work with a diverse set of customer personnel
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
Desired Skills:
  • Experience in satellite ground station operations
  • Background in systems engineering, software engineering, or integration and test
  • Demonstrated experience in any scripting language
  • Qualified Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent

B.S/B.A in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math or a science with 4+ years of prior relevant experience

Clearance Requirements: TS/SCI required (current)

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
