Description

 SAIC is looking for a Software Integration & Interfaces Architect to join the team supporting our customer, AAR Corp., in support if a Department Of State Air Wing mission in Melbourne / Palm Bay, Fl.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a senior engineer within the client organization responsible for providing software engineering and life cycle management services in support of COTS and GOTS software products for military applications.
  • Conduct and coordinate research to select the design and ensure associated interfaces are fully integrated for the best dataflow and system exchange.
  • Ensures that the solution application components selection, design, and associated interfaces are correctly integrated to fully support inter- application dataflow and system data exchange.
  • Support proposal development, cost estimating, Basis of Estimates and schedule

 


 

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. HS Diploma or Equivalent with an additional 4+ years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to successfully obtain adjudication for a Moderate Risk Public Trust investigation.
  • Experience with COTS and GOTS integration as it relates to the system of systems for the government
  • Experience with high-level programming languages, including C, C++, C#, Ada, .net, and/or Java
  • Ability to model, architect, design, develop, code, integrate, test, or manage platform electronic software solutions

Desired Experience:

  • Ability to apply computer software sciences and systems engineering theories, principles, tools, and best practices to address user needs and performance requirements with engineered, optimal, cost effective, reliable, maintainable, best-value, and systems software solutions
  • Ability to develop and execute software and electronics life cycle management, development, transition, and sustainment and support plans
  • Ability to apply program management, project management, risk management, and value management techniques and principles to determine and optimize cost, schedule, and performance parameters from development to fielding for software products
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

 

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must be able to obtain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT)
