Raytheon Global Business Services (GBS) information technology (IT) Team has an opening for a Sr. Information Systems Technologist role on the corporate Engineering Solutions, Systems Engineering (SE) team supporting systems engineers in multiple regions/sites across Raytheon.
Responsibilities include interfacing with programs on planning, execution and sustainment of systems engineering solutions/tools on local and remote programs. This person will also coordinate and interface with the Engineering Solutions Software (ES SW) team and other teams to deliver integrated solutions to programs.
Build relationships with lead System Engineers to deliver engineering solutions and services
Develop and deploy requirements management solutions to programs
Serve as a DOORS and DOORS Next Generation Subject Matter Expert
Assist with the deployment of a new integrated IV&V solution
Function as part of the virtual Systems Engineering services team
Consult with programs on the implementation of Systems Engineering solutions
Manage the deployment schedule and execution of system engineering solutions
Identify, document, and champion systems engineering automation best practices and improvements which help engineers more productive
Engage in new technology investigations and evaluations from strategic vendors for high ROI capabilities, be part of a team to lead the pilot and deployment of these emerging technologies
Required Skills: Minimum 6+ years Program experience in the area of Systems or Software Engineering
Basic understanding in the application of (2 or more) of the following Systems Engineering capability areas: Requirements Management, IV&V, Architecture/Modeling, Math & Analysis, Modeling & Simulation, and Specialty engineering.
Detailed working knowledge of Requirements Management (RM) Tools and the “Integrated Requirements Management” solution (such as DOORS, Rational Team Concert, DOORS integration, Standard DOORS library, DOORS Next Generation, IBM’s CLM) or experience in IT supporting RM tools applications and with API or REST-API code
Understanding of the Systems Engineering Process and Integrated Product Development Process (IPDP)
Strong automation background with the ability to troubleshoot / solve complex problems.
Linux and/or Windows server admin skills, IIS/Websphere/Apache tomcat web application deployment, RDBMS Oracle/SQL Svr
Ability to work independently as part of a virtual team
Strong communication, presentation, and people skills with ability to interface with senior lead Systems Engineers
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization
Competency with API or REST-API code
Detailed working knowledge of Requirements Management processes, work instructions and best practices – especially with regard to requirements change management, critical parameter management, design margin index, and metrics collection
Requirements capture and high level system design experience on one or more programs
IV&V experience on one or more programs
Experience in implementing Requirements Change Management (standard process/CCB), use of automation to support requirements change such as Rational Team Concert
Experience in the application of System modeling, System Architecture tools, MBSE, and/or Object Oriented Systems Engineering
Experience with IBM CLM applications and equivalent FOSS solutions
Experience with cloud based solutions such as AWS
Experience using containers, and strong automation skills such as the automation of applications packaging, test automation, automation of operations
Infrastructure as code, powershell/bash scripting, virtual desktop infrastructure
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline
