SAIC is looking for Cyber Security Architect to join the team supporting our customer we have partnered with, AAR Corp., to support Department Of State Air Wing mission in Melbourne / Palm Bay, Fl.  Provide proven, industry leading information security, software, networks, systems, reverse engineers, and systems engineering to our law enforcement customer. This position is for a customer focused, mission driven. This engineer will have hands on experience in multiple Information Technology platforms. Responsible for creating and maintaining ATO certification and accreditation documentation. Creates and maintains information assurance documentation (e.g. SSPs, ATO, Security Profiles, approvals, etc.)

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure appropriate security controls are in place to achieve a formal Authority to Operate (ATO) declaration

  • Conduct a comprehensive security requirements analysis of current and future cloud-based COTS-based and NAMIS GOTS-based solutions to ensure compliance and adherence to established NIST, DoS, Global INL 2020 and other appropriate industry cyber security standards. 

  • Research and implement COTS and GOTS technologies to improve the overall security posture.

  • Develop criteria for & implement periodic metrics to produce information about data produced and consumed by all security / networking devices.

  • Develop new workflow / user interfaces for the security products to allow user consumption of meaningful data in a more effective manner.

  • Build and maintain device support for custom build applications.

  • Develop and implement IDS & SIEM solution to detect malicious threats and anomalous network activity. 

Qualifications

Required Experience: 

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. HS Diploma or Equivalent with an additional 4+ years of relevant experience will be considered in
  • Experience assessing existing security posture to determine architectural, functional, non-functional, network, technical, assurance, and other required security controls. 
  • Experience supporting the following: 
    • Proposal Development
    • Basis of Estimate (BOE) Development (Estimator)
    • Cost Estimating
    • Project Schedule
  • Experience with the following:
    • NIST 800 cyber security guidelines
    • ATO requirements.
    • Defense Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (DIARMF)

Desired Experience:

  • CEH: Certified Ethical Hacker.

  • CISM: Certified Information Security Manager.

  • CompTIA Security+

  • CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional.

  • GSEC: SANS GIAC Security Essentials.

Clearance Requirement:
  • Ability to successfully obtain adjudication for a Moderate Risk Public Trust investigation
