Job Description:

The Undersea Launchers Sr Program Manager will report to the Director of Advanced Naval and Area Mission Defense (ANAMD) within the Advanced Missile Systems (AMS) product line. This program manager will be responsible for managing cost, schedule and performance of multiple undersea programs. The PM will also be responsible for developing strategy and vision to capture new undersea programs. In this role, the PM will need to collaborate with other Raytheon sectors, manage suppliers, generate proposals and perform all of the stand program management duties such as managing risk and opportunities, generating and maintaining an IMS, performing financial reviews and generating EACs. This PM will work with two primary customers and with numerous Government labs and organizations to accomplish undersea program development. The program manager is accountable to the ANAMD Program Director for overall success of a diverse portfolio of programs, managing various levels of security requirements, capturing new business and delivery customer satisfaction. The program manager will also be accountable for developing and maintaining collaborative and responsive internal relationships with peers across the AMS product line, the NAMD product line, BD and all corresponding functional leads for the product line, such as HR and Finance.

Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for overall program execution. Delivery products on time, within budget that meet all contract requirements
  • Coordinating captures and growth activities for the Undersea Launchers and Special Programs portfolios
  • Responsible for articulating to senior product line leadership the ongoing status on cost and schedule performance, R&Os and strategies for program execution and new business opportunities that can ultimately grow the core product lines
  • May be responsible for managing NBI funding to enable RMS to participate in key growth activities from which relationship building, identification of pursuit pipeline or strategy development might emerge
  • Establish and grow working relationships with diverse set of customers, industry partners, etc

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 12+ years’ of direct related progressive experience in program management or related roles
  • Experience working in the DOD or similar organization
  • Demonstrated profit and loss (P&L) responsibility
  • Strong technical background
  • Current Secret Clearance
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated successful P&L responsibility of at least $40M
  • Strong verbal, written, listening, and influential communication skills
  • Demonstrated success focusing on the needs of customers and delivering those needs
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain long term business relationships with customers and partners
  • Knowledge of US Government foreign military sales and direct commercial sale policies and procedures
  • Understanding of the DoD acquisition environment and missile technologies
  • Demonstrated success working in a teaming environment with customers and internal partners
  • Excellent skills in developing and delivering briefings to senior (Colonel, Captain, Director and above) audiences
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project)
  • Existing Top Secret clearance
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
  • PM Cert level 3 or equivalent
Required Education (including Major):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or business field
  • Advanced degree preferred in either business or technical field
