Description

SAIC is looking to hire a PM&P Engineer with technical expertise in spacecraft parts, materials and processes analysis. The PM&P Engineer will be familiar with space systems ground support and flight hardware acquisitions. The successful candidate will have experience with PM&P control boards (PMPCB) including evaluating PM&P requirement waivers. The selected candidate will be an integral participant in spacecraft part specifications and standards for space rated parts and materials. The candidate should be experienced in the requirements for Quality Conformance inspection parts screening and evaluation of results.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support for major program acquisitions.
  • Activities leverage on an understanding of full life cycle system support, from procurement to launch, including requirements analysis, requirements tracking, system design and development through system test, delivery, installation and sell-off, and focuses on hardware development, testing, analysis, and requirements verification.
  • Support the customer at weekly and monthly PM&P activities including teleconferences, all PMPCB meetings and program top issues meeting.
  • Provide expert advice concerning PMPCB requests for government approval of waivers, deviations, non-standard parts and materials requests.
  • Review and coordinate PM&P actions with all members of the customer technical team including FFRDC PM&P representatives.
  • Support unit manufacturing reviews from a PM&P perspective as needed.
  • Review and coordinate changes to program PM&P requirements including the program PM&P plan for existing and follow-on programs.
  • Track PM&P issues, significant accomplishments, upcoming events, and provide weekly status updates to the customer.
  • Coordinate with customer PM&P lead, other spacecraft subsystem leads, branch and division chiefs as requested.
  • Provide support to PM&P anomaly investigations as required by the customer for prime contractor and subcontractor development and manufacturing.
  • Provide technical evaluation of PM&P efforts in engineering change proposals.
  • Other duties as specified by the customer.

 

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors and 9+ yrs experience or Masters and 7+ or PhD and 4+ yrs exp

Required Clearances:

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
