Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 3 -5 years of demonstrated experience in commercial sales, with demonstrable technical acumen in the network security domain.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire and must be obtainable within a reasonable amount of time. The individual selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Commercial Sales Account Manager in our Dedham, MA office. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
Responsibilities include:
Prospect new business through business networking
Sell additional products and services to existing accounts that continue to present new sales opportunities. Sell add-ons, amend, and convert existing customer systems to meet the customers' expectations
Responsible for competitive take over opportunities within an assigned territory
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of complete line of products/services
Obtain referrals and work with Centers of Influence
Process work orders and complete all paperwork in accordance with approved and standardized Vector procedures
Develop and manage an annual sales plan
Execute strategies to win new accounts
Drive growth in existing accounts
Work with sales partners to grow and develop regions
Conduct post installation follow-up by contacting customer, ensuring commitments were met and affirming customer satisfaction once the customer has been in service
Performs account management and regional sales to include business development, lead generation, customer qualification, proposal delivery, and contract negotiation.
Understands and assimilates the latest technologies and market data to create account propositions and competitive solutions for high value opportunities
Establishes a communication path between the company and the customer to ensure customer satisfaction. Develops and supports timely resolution to customer issues
Identifies, qualifies, and negotiates channel alliances with domestic (i.e. integrators, manufacturers, service providers) to leverage market coverage
Assists sales, support, and marketing staff members in activities such as sales promotion, training, or market research in planning and executing projects
