Description

Job Description
  • Lead, develop and streamline Director’s Action Group (DAG) support functions
  • Identify internal and external issues that may impact the NRO and take appropriate action as approved by the US Government
  • Author, consolidate, coordinate and edit executive-level documentation to ensure consistency with organizational strategic objectives; apply an in-depth knowledge and understanding of DoD/IC issues, policies, programs and procedures affecting the NRO
  • Make recommendations and prepare briefings, point papers and other materials based on analysis of complex policy issues and documents
  • Participate in external committees, IPT, working groups and task forces
  • Ensure critical information is disseminated to internal and external agencies including the Office of Secretary of Defense, Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and mission partner equivalent offices 

Qualifications

Clearance required to start: TS/ SCI with Polygraph

Clearance required to stay on the program TS/SCI with Polygraph

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and two (2) years or more experience

Role specific -
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business related discipline and 10 years of experience within IC or DoD  OR  5 years of experience within the NRO
OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and 10 years of experience within IC or DoD  OR  5 years of experience within the NRO
Preferred Experience:
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition requirements, Department of Defense (DoD)/Intelligence Community (IC) budget & finance, and National Security policy
  • Knowledge of systems engineering, project or program management
  • Ability to understand and write in systems engineering technical language
  • Knowledge of NRO/IC/DoD organizational structure, mission, vision, culture, values, philosophy and operating principles
  • Experience working with senior executives at multiple organizational levels
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of DoD/IC issues, policies, programs and procedures affecting the NRO and its mission 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
  • Skill to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment while maintaining flexibility and versatility
  • Ability to foster solid relationships that promote cooperation and communicate expectations
  • Ability to analyze situations and make well informed decision
  • Detail-orientated
