Business Services has been identified as a key organisational lever that will deliver better outcomes at lower cost points while allowing our entities to focus on their priorities. The Business Services Development team will be work with National Grid entities and functions to define, build, and transfer key business processes within Business Services. This role will be a key member of a small but influential team, building, growing, and being the key business partner between Business Services and National Grid functions and entities; with the expressed goals to deliver value adding propositions and enabling National Grid to be strategically agile.

About the role

  • The role involves working with key stakeholders to communicate and influence the new model for Business Services within the National Grid. Woking with the Head of Business Services Development, this role will build commercially beneficial relationships with senior leaders across the business
  • Using input from these relationships, the Senior Associate would organise, develop, refine and deliver, along with the Business Services Development Associate, detailed and commercially viable ideas, business cases, review decks and other support material as required
  • Create content and support conversations with the Head of Business Services Development to actively promote the development of the new Business Services model
  • Create compelling and professional communiques that meet the needs of our customers and colleagues
  • Deliver actionable insights from operations metrics within business services to stand up the performance and improvement potential of Business Services with our key partners

About you

  • Exposure to senior leaders and an ability to operate at all levels of the organisation
  • Demonstrated commerciality and professionalism in working in a fluid and fast paced environment
  • Educated to degree / Masters’ level or equivalent
