This engineering fabrication shop position will be responsible for providing general machining operations and CNC programming/machining support to produce engineering prototype parts and assemblies for multiple programs.
Experience in making tight tolerance sheet metal parts and mechanical assemblies is also desired.
4+ years of related experience
Experience in a fast pace, deadline driven machine shop environment
Experience programming and running CNC machines
Able to read complex Blueprints, Parts drawings, Sketches, Assembly Drawings, BOM’s and product specifications
Able to create Mechanical parts and assemblies from sketches or detailed drawings utilizing specification requirements and a BOM in close collaboration with program engineers
Hands on experience and knowledge working with Pro-E or other CAD CAM tools
Operational experience running milling machines, lathes, drill presses, grinders, cut-off saws, and other shop tools.
Capable of completing tight tolerance precision machining work requiring attention to detail while meeting timing and cost constraints
Basic math and geometry problem solving skills
Experienced using Microsoft office including Excel and Word related database tools
Experience using Micrometers, Calipers, Height Gage and Multi-axis measurement tools
Willing to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary to meet deadlines
Comfortable working independently with minimal direction to produce hardware to meet the engineer’s requirements
Support Raytheon engineering meetings and special events throughout the year to boost networking and sphere of influence
Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Machine shop experience
Able to work independently but know when to stop and ask the right questions,
Experience with making parts for electronic and mechanical assemblies
Has a secret clearance (or is capable of obtaining a secret clearance within 3 to 6 months of accepting the position).
Multitasker, is willing and can handle supporting many projects simultaneously
Experience using sheet metal equipment such as Brakes, punches & shear
Experience making electrical enclosures holding tight tolerances (.005” minimum)
Required Education High school, secondary school or equivalent with 4 years of experience.
Desired Education Graduate of a technical trade school with an emphasis and experience in machine shop principles and mechanical assembly of small hardware. 129213
