The Management Assistant Senior (MA) will be part of the Systems Test Directorate providing direct administrative support to the Air & Missile Defense Systems (A&MDS) / ESSM Department Manager (DM) as well as the Advanced Missile Systems Department Manager (DM) of the Integration and Verification Center. In addition to the primary duties providing support to the DMs, the MA will also provide general support to other employees per the Engineering geographical admin model.

  • Specific responsibilities of the Management Assistant Senior include:
  • Communicating instructions and information on behalf of the DMs
  • Managing the DM schedule, appointments and meetings
  • Prioritizing the DM email, and in some instances composing and sending responses to routine inquires for the DM
  • Assist during the preparation of travel arrangement for the DM and other employees in the supported departments.
  • Providing guidance to supported employees in the utilization of Raytheon tools and processes such as WebTE, timecard system, Rshare, ServiceNow, and Outlook.
  • Scheduling, organizing, and setting up meetings, in some instances including meals and customers
  • Provide coverage and backup for other Management Assistants in the Systems Test directorate
  • Provide technical assistance in the generation of monthly Operations review and All Hands presentations.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Required Skills:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Five (5) years of administrative assistant experience
  • Extensive knowledge in the utilization of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Share Point)
  • Experience managing travel arrangements, expense statements, files and requesting/ordering standard office equipment

Desired Skills:
  • Existing DoD-issued Secret Clearance
  • Expertise in the utilization of Raytheon tools including Outlook, ServiceNow, WebTE, SPEED, RAYTrak, Rshare, and Travel Smart
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment with the capacity to share, rely, and collaborate with other administrative assistants to get the job done
  • Five (5) years of Raytheon administrative experience
  • Understanding of the Systems Test organization, including its primary products and services, CMs, DMs, Section Heads, and key technical Subject Matter Experts
  • Knowledge integrating staffing predictions and inputs into the Systems Test staffing tool
  • High proficiency in the utilization of advanced features in Microsoft Office (Share Point, PowerPoint, Word and Excel) to include macros, scripting, pivot tables and complex graphing.
  • Strong knowledge of Raytheon policies, and internal procedures and methods
  • Work effectively in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent people skills, providing an extended executive presence to the supported managers and organizations
  • Terrific organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Working knowledge of building management and evacuation team planning
  • Ability to work with time constraints and adapt to changing situations
  • Self-starter with initiative and independent judgment for assisting supported managers and team members
  • Ability to stay organized and to manage multiple high priorities; strong attention to detail
  • Possesses a strong and already established network with support functions and organizations such as Facilities, Media Creation, IT/CSC, Global Business Services, and others
Degree Requirements:
  • High school degree or equivalent

The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
