Description:Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturer’s maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, and engineering data. Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds electrical system wiring, connectors, and components using hand tools, power tools, and applicable test equipment. Fabricate harness and electrical assemblies. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments. Receives technical guidance, as required from supervisor or higher level technicians, and work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. May provide technical guidance to lower level technicians.
Equivalent experience/education combinations are permitted based on the typical minimums required for this job which are 3 years of related experience in repairing, replacing, and rebuilding electrical system wiring, connectors, and components using hand tools, power tools. and applicable test equipment. Experience in utilizing electrical test equipment such as digital multi-meters and oscilloscopes. Must be proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, engineering drawings and technical manuals. NOTE: This position is primarily a 2nd shift position consisting of 10 hour days, working Monday - Thursday, but candidates should be able to support alternate schedules based on business needs.
Prior harness fabrication experience
Proficient in reading engineering drawings and blueprints
