Position encompasses all aspects of management of physical facilities and related budgets for all AST sites (six locations in four time zones)

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage Department staff at multiple locations providing leadership and career development
  • Manage the facilities planning, engineering, reconfiguration, construction, maintenance and alteration of buildings, structures and other corporate facilities
  • Coordinate with architecture firms to develop design criteria
  • Estimate and review project costs and develop funding requests
  • Monitor and report on project status to Senior Leadership
  • Develop and recommend long range plans to meet future space needs
  • Manage AST real estate assets, liaison to Corporate Real Estate on lease and space related matters; develop Appropriations Requests for leased site transactions; review new and existing leases
  • Liaison to Property Managers and AST Site Leads at all AST managed facilities
  • Liaison to Raytheon GBS Facilities for Subject Matter Expert support
  • Provide input to Division Manager and Finance to create and monitor department budget
  • Maintain and update capital project list
  • Provide local leadership to oversee and maintain EHSS systems and compliance at AST sites
  • Support Asset Protection in the installation and maintenance of fire suppression and alarm systems

Required Skills:
  • 10+ years related work experience – emphasis on site management, opening or relocating sites
  • Experience managing a geographically diverse labor force
  • History of successfully managing budgets
  • Strong project management background
  • Ability to manage outside contractors
  • Microsoft office tools with emphasis on MSProject and Excel
  • Proven leadership ability
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Must be willing to travel
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of general requirements for maintenance of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Structural systems
  • Background in EHSS
  • Space planning experience
  • SCIF Construction standards and experience
  • equired Education:
  • BS/BA in a related field

Desired Education:
Certified Facilities Management credential
Mechanical, Electrical Engineer, or Civil Engineer
Professional Engineer license
