UAE Logistics, Transportation, and Warranty Lead The Patriot Programs Integrated Business Team delivers the world’s most advanced air and missile defense system globally. IDS is the prime contractor for Patriot, the world’s most sophisticated long-range, high-altitude, all-weather air and missile defense system.
The United Arab Emirates Logistics, Transportation and Warranty Lead is responsible and accountable for the successful movement and tracking of material shipments internationally and locally within the country of UAE. This position will need to collaborate with expat and other foreign national teams to ensure successful execution of the transportation programs and will be accountable for maximizing the readiness of the material flow to the Operations group. In addition, this position will be responsible for the management and oversight of all aspects of Warranty claims including identification, logging, tracking, transportation, documentation and warranty closure.
The UAE Logistics, Transportation and Warranty Lead will report to the In-Country Program Manager and will be located in Abu Dhabi. Position requires candidate to travel to multiple customer locations within United Arab Emirates.
As part of the role, the UAE Logistics, Transportation and Warranty Lead will interface with the Raytheon OCONUS CET team, System Integration and Checkout (SICO) team, UAE Military arm forces, freight forwarders, local suppliers, Raytheon CONUS transportation/logistics team and CONUS Mission Integration Lead. This is a 2 year accompanied assignment.
Experience in international material movement, transportation and warranty management efforts
Experience working with suppliers on damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, and cancellations
Experience coordinating and managing air and ocean freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation, reverse logistics, surface transportation and supply chain solutions
Supervision of the KPUP KIPs logistics operation including the asset management, transportation, pack/ship activities and warehousing functions.
Experience working within a cross-functional team
Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Familiar with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Department of Commerce export control regulations
Identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and customer satisfaction opportunities
Ability to effectively interface with senior management on matters pertaining to policies, plans, and objectives
Ability to initiate & maintain an excellent business relationship with customer and effectively interface and communicate with their customer's counterpart
Ability to initiate tracking/status reports and product metrics.
Previous experience or knowledge in Six Sigma, PMP & process improvement.
Experience developing solutions to problems with unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation
Ability to effectively interface with internal and external customers
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
Proven ability with PRISM tool set
US Security Clearance (Confidential or higher)
8+ years of Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering or Project Management
Knowledge of the Raytheon transportation guidelines
Knowledge on Raytheon EXIM policies and procedures
Knowledge utilizing asset management systems (iMRO)Ability to multi-task with minimum or no supervision
Demonstrated leadership and results
Enhanced knowledge and experience with military logistics and supply chain systems
Patriot system experience
Asia Pacific military customer interface experience
Knowledge customs processes
Middle East experience and Arabic language skills
Ability to obtain a US security clearance
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor's degree or multiple years of relevant field experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. (Two years related work experience can substitute for one year of education)
