This engineering analyst position will be responsible for supporting multiple programs with data gathering, tracking and analysis for the Tactical Communications business. The analyst will work closely with the program’s Chief Engineers to create metrics that accurately reflect the programs status through timely, easily understandable impactful communications.
Create impactful documentation for data reviews, program analysis, status reports and presentations for the program team and business leadership
Generate program metrics using Excel and RTC
Assist in staff Planning and Staff forecasting using the eStaff Tool
Plan, track and schedule multiple work assignments while guiding each team assigned to successful completion with minimal supervision
Provide support and tailoring of IPDS and SAS management systems when requested always looking for opportunities to streamline and improve strategies and methodologies
Evaluate, present, and explain technical components of issues related to business in a diplomatic, professional, and timely manner
Establish and maintain month-over-month metrics that show progress towards program goals
Help plan and support engineering recurring meetings and special events
2+ years of experience preparing and developing metrics and analyzing data
Ability to negotiate and influence resolution of complicated issues through the use of researched facts and accurate data
Always searching for a better way to set up engineering work environments, recurring processes and support/tooling for improving program efficiencies and reducing program costs
Able to position oneself as the program team “go to” for “anything data” by being the source of accurate program records, metrics, and timely data analysis
Able to interface with external customers to obtain information and analyze data trends for feedback and presentation to the business and program teams
Be the cornerstone by setting the example on the program team for promoting teamwork, cooperation and information sharing
Command an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and other database tools with a willingness to share that resource knowledge with others
Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
